Knowledge Transfer Project 2019 -2021

CUHK Jockey Club Institute of Ageing (IOA) is led by Professor Jean Woo, an Emeritus Professor of

Medicine and a Research Professor of Gerontology and Geriatrics. The institute has recently initiated a research project on “Elderly well-being and built environment”, hoping to let participants understand that our health is more linked to the personal behavior than medical services, while personal behavior is highly linked to our built environment.

The project aims to promote knowledge transfer of disciplines from medicine, public health, architecture, urban planning and landscape design, to the targeted participants of elders and CUHK students. At the same time, elders will give feedbacks directly back to these professionals from an end-user perspective.
