Double Honour at the Smart Ageing Award 2025

We are thrilled to announce that we have received two top honours at the SmartAgeingAward2025, presented by the Golden Age Foundation at the prestigious Gala Dinner & Smart Ageing Award 2025 Ceremony:

  • Outstanding Leader: Age-Friendly Community – Champion
Prof. Kar Him Mo, Chairperson & Co-founder, HALF; Assistant Professor, CUHK School of Architecture, The Chinese University of Hong Kong

  • Outstanding Organisation: Golden Age Marketing Strategy Award (SME) – Champion

We sincerely thank our Innovation Incubators and Funders, ZeShan Foundation 擇善基金會 and Ho Cheung Shuk Yuen Charitable Foundation, as well as the Social Innovation Team, CUHK KTO, Knowledge Transfer Office (KTO), CUHK, SIE-Fund, and the Faculty of Social Science, CUHK, for their continuous support!

Our heartfelt thanks also go to the many collaborators & clients from the architecture and real estate sectors, government departments, NGOs, social enterprises, community partners, and all the friends who have participated in our programmes. Your trust enables us to continue applying user-centred and participatory action approaches to connect users with professionals, advance age-inclusive practices in the built environment, and promote ageing in place, empowering older adults to live well in their communities.

The judging panel recognised Professor Mo and HALF for the pioneering contributions in addressing population ageing and fostering sustainable smart ageing communities. As Hong Kong, Mainland China, and other Asian regions shift toward market-driven solutions to address demographic changes, the organisation’s innovative work stands out as a model of excellence. We believe that smart ageing innovations in the built environment go beyond technology; it is about connecting people, generations, and sectors. This recognition fuels our continued commitment to co-creating age-inclusive and sustainable living environments.

Once again, our sincere gratitude to the organiser for this recognition! More community-focused initiatives are on the horizon. Stay tuned for our latest updates!
